The cost of them being all metal is another concern. I'd like to stick to my current fluff and themes however, so I don't want to simply buy the sister models. With the new marine dex coming out, I'm expecting a resurgence of interest in them, and the removal of many of my special weapons (salamanders) giving me more interest in my human helpers. This was as I was getting out of my space marine phase and moving back to one of my other armies.
I did pick up on the fact a while ago that for a mere 1pt more per guy, I could have a Sister of Battle, getting me a bolter and power armor. They however have equipment to spare, so they were given the good stuff.
My Chapter's low on numbers and gene seed and can't really waste it putting it into a scout THEN putting them thru all the ropes. They fill a nice role as cheaper more numerous troop units. For awhile now I've used Inquisitorial Storm Troopers from the Demon Hunters codex in my Marine army.
